Gabriela started as an emerge choreographer in 2015 exploring movement based on music inspiration with the opportunity of The Global Harmony program of The Ailey School where she found and developed a language that it’s defined from the artistic influence of Latin America.Gabriela’s choreographic work continued developing with the support of Gibney dance and Mark Morris Dance center. “CIelo Rojo” inspired by the painting “Las dos Fridas” F. Kahlo, is about the relationship to one self.
It explores opposites sides of our personality, influencing how we move forward with our lives. Cielo Rojo, is the personal process of overcoming obstacles, requiring acceptance and self compassion; reinventing ourselves with authenticity.
